Novelnook has many great aspects to its services.
One of those great aspects include giving the ability for authors and readers alike to gain points that will unlock features, such as messaging and coupons.
Today, I am going to show you this feature and how you can gain points to rank up. First, you want to look on the front page and find the blue button with the cloud. I put an arrow to show you this but when you first join, you will automatically gain 100 points!
After clicking on this button, you will see this page. If you look across the bar, you will see three tabs – Earning Points, Gaining Titles and Unlocking Features.
Shown below are screenshots demonstrating the “Earning Points” tab. As you can see, there are many ways to get points and rank up to unlock features.
I really love that I earn points for simply being a member of Novelnook. While some are author specific, readers can earn points just as easily!
There is a fast and easy way to make extra points, every day. If you look at the main page and scroll down, you will see a box labeled “Daily Spin” on the right side of the screen. You click on “Roll” – the great thing is, you can keep clicking until you win, so you will always win at least 20 points.
Who can argue with free points? Especially when more points = more features! it also means with more points, you are able to gain titles.
There are six ranks, so far. The last two mention additional features which have not been implemented yet. You can still collect points though and when they become available, you won’t have to wait to get access to the features!
And finally, there is an “Unlocking Features” tab which lists all the great things that will open up as you gain more points!
Does the point system interest you? I find that it gives me something to look forward to – and I can’t wait to see what other features will be available in the future as the site expands and membership grows.
Look for part 3, which will be coming soon. I will show you how you can publish a “future e-book” which can give Readers an idea of when to expect your e-book’s publication.
