I came across this article by Editor Beth Hill. It struck me immediately because I know there are a lot of writers out there who don’t understand the basic building blocks of writing a story. I see it all the time in the slush pile at Every Day Fiction. If you’ve ever asked yourself, ‘ What is POV? What is too much telling? What is tense?
